It is the primary responsibility of the Customer Service Department to provide outstanding customer care to RDP's diverse customer base.  Key duties:

  • Enter various types of customer and vendor orders into RDP's ERP system
  • Issue credits and return authorizations;
  • Investigate customer requests, problems and/or complaints for successful resolution;
  • Provide customer feedback on service issues or customer concerns to the manager;
  • Monitor expected daily incoming orders to ensure all orders are timely placed in the system;
  • Communicate to customers new and featured products, company announcements, holiday schedules and marketing and sales initiatives;
  • Providing internal support to the Territory and Multi-Unit Sales Teams;
  • Monitor internal and external email communications and perform the requisite actions;
  • Communicate with the Transportation Team daily to help resolve service issues as they arise;
  • Work effectively in a team environment to meet business goals and objectives;
  • Provide personnel back up to the front desk/receptionist position
  • Other duties and projects as assigned;



  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • One year experience in customer service or inside sales;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent telephone skills;
  • Time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and email etiquette;
  • Ability to read, interpret documents such as procedural manuals, work instructions and write correspondence through email;
  • Ability to type 45-50 wpm accurately;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals;
  • Microsoft Office and ERP system (or similar) experience is preferred;
  • Displays a friendly, positive, pro-customer attitude
